Which account do I need?
Filmmaker accounts submit films. Organizer accounts manage approved festivals and review submissions. Website administrators use a separate administration area.
How do I submit a film?
- Browse participating festivals and read their eligibility rules, categories and deadlines. Calendar reference listings are informational and do not accept submissions.
- Register or sign in as a filmmaker. Directors, producers and authorized representatives use this account.
- Select a festival and category and submit your film details and screener link.
- Free submissions enter review without payment. For paid categories, complete Stripe checkout. Your submission enters the organizer’s review list only after payment is confirmed.
- Use My Submissions to view your submissions and their status. Payment does not guarantee selection.
How do I list a festival?
- Submit your festival details and organizer email for review. Listing is free.
- After approval, use the emailed password-setting link to activate your organizer account. Sign in through Organizer Login.
- Manage your festival details and submission categories in your organizer dashboard.
- For new applications, install the FestSubmit logo and submission widget prominently on your official website, then verify the published page in your dashboard. An approved application is published automatically after successful verification.
- For paid categories, complete Stripe identity and bank setup and save your festival end date before accepting payments.
Existing sample festivals are exempt from website-widget verification. This exemption does not apply to new applications.
Is listing free?
Yes. Paid submissions carry a 10% platform fee plus Stripe processing fees. See fees and bank payouts.
Where is my invitation?
Check the organizer email supplied with the application and your spam folder. An invitation is sent after approval. Use the password recovery link on the login page if your setup link expires.
